Wrap Pant in Linen
Wrap Pant in Linen
Wrap pants! Handmade from rust red, black, and oatmeal linen. I am so inspired by styles that are simple, easy, and open sized yet have such unique silhouettes and fits. This is my take on this classic style. These pants feature a super high rise (I am always searching for the perfect at or above the belly button rise - so here it is!), flat waistband, tie front or back straps, 2 back pockets, and a wide cropped leg silhouette. French seams on the sides. These are a OS pull on pant that can be tied and fitted to your individual waist size.
My favorite thing about these is that not only is the sizing versatile, but the style itself can be worn different ways. Tie the straps in the front for a lovely folded look with pockets at the side. Tie the straps in the back and tuck the pockets in the folds for a simple fitted high rise linen pant look in the front and a look that resembles an apron in the back. So good!
Made to order, comes in one size but with the option to give your measurements. I also will ask for your height to lessen or lengthen the ankle. Not every body fits into one size - so feel free to message me about making you a pair with your measurements.
I am working on ideally adding a video to this post for wrapping instructions, but until then this is what I’ve found works best for me:
Pull on pant and hold up waist sides
I start with pinching each side to the size of my waist. They don’t need to be perfectly even because you can adjust once they are tied.
I then tie the straps in the front as tight as I think the waist needs to fit
After that I move around the folded over/under parts until they are even and the belt in front (or back) fits flat
Adjust and tighten as needed
Please keep in mind that waist size does effect the amount of more or less folded over fabric on the sides. If you want more or less extra fabric to fold, please message me with your waist measurement so I can make the pants accordingly.
CARE: I always recommend hand or spot washing handmade clothing as often and for as long as possible. If you machine wash use a gentle setting, with like colors, on cold - and always hang to dry or air dry.
Iron on medium heat and not directly onto item or steam. Linen gets wrinkly and worn but irons out great!
Measurements laid flat:
Waist: about 24” flat
Total length: about 35-36”
Crotch to top of waist: about 15”
Strap length: about 15” each from sides
Leg hole width: about 10”
Like all handmade items, this piece is subject to small
imperfection that make it unique.
